“Grandmother's black box…….oh what a treasure trove of history it contains. It included memorabilia from places as far apart as Hong Kong, Australia, French Indo China, Japan, France, Russia, Mexico and England. I found photographs, oil and water colour paintings, albums, autograph books, old watches, Chinese money, French trinkets, Australian Armed Forces insignia and badges  and much else besides. Bequeathed to me over forty years ago and left to moulder in an old cupboard upstairs. Now has come the time to open up that treasure and see what messages it contains for the generations that follow mine.
